First, go to Google and enter the topic of choice.
Since I'm still amazed by our marine science students who recently taught 2nd graders, I chose to enter "marine life" as my topic.
After you enter your topic, click on the Search Tools button. You will then have an option called All results (see picture above). Click on All results for more options.
After you click on All results, you will have a drop-down list appear. From the list, choose Reading level.
BINGO! Now you (or your students) can choose the reading level of the results.

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for this smart tool. It is time consuming when we need specific search results according to the specific reading level. This also shows that technology and education are very connected and intermingled with each other.
ReplyDeleteI have known about this resource, but have yet to use it with students. This coming school year will be the first for me. Do you know what reading levels are considered under each level? Which grades should be using basic, intermediate and advanced?

ReplyDeleteThis is a great tip but when I try it, the drop down menu doesn't appear. It just say all results with a tick and the word Verbatim underneath. Any ideas please?
